Paige Ramsey, 19, from Central Mangrove, has been crowned the Hunter’s top model.
She received this title last Saturday night, February 6 at the Model For Life 2009 grand final.
Another nine amateur models were also given the opportunity to springboard into modelling careers.
Paige had competed in the modelling competition for the last few years.
She was surprised to win the adult category let alone the top accolade this year.
Paige has now received a helping hand to reach her ambition to be successful in this competitive industry.
She hopes her years of experience matched with countless hair and make-up courses will set her up for a lifetime in the spotlight.
Her career is set to start as she joins Sydney-based agency Platform Model Management for three years .
She will also enjoy many prizes including a $2000 Stockland gift voucher, hair and make up packages from Woohoo and Beaute Junction, her own professional website and a photographic portfolio with WixPix Studios.
Stevie Breese, 17, Forster, was the runner up in the adult age category.
Ellie Cole, 3, Merewether, took home the golden winner’s trophy in the Tiny Tots Photographic Competition and Kynan Watkins, 3, Thornton, was the runner-up.
Grace Kerr, 8, Medowie, was the winner of the junior section.
Five-year-old Adelaide Swanson, Kurri Kurri, was the runner-up.
JT Fleming, 11, Charlestown, was the tween winner.
Annalise McLachlan, 12, Eleebana, was the runner up.
Jack O’Connor, 16, Tenambit, was the winner of the teenage category.
The runner-up trophy went to Sophie Curran, 14, New Lambton.
With the stunning competition trophies and fabulous prizes taken home on the night, all four Model For Life 2009 winners will now feature in a photo shoot with the Hunter’s vibrant and award-winning magazine, Hunter Lifestyle, courtesy of Hunter Publishing.
The competition raised funds for The Spastic Centre of NSW.
