Newcastle surfers Jake Sylvester, Ryan Callinan, Sam Lendrum and Duncan McNicol will be competing this week at the Grade 5 Oakley Pro Junior at North Stradbroke Island.
The event is one of the highest rated pro junior events this year and huge points will be up for grabs.
Sam Lendrum is the highest placed of the Newcastle boys sitting at number 10 followed closely by Callinan at 11.

The Port Stephens Toyota Trails will be held on February 20 at One Mile Beach.
The winner of each division will be given a wildcard or free entry into Surfest.
The divisions contested will be U14s, U16s, 20s and open.
