CONFIDENCE, ambition, knowledge of rural life - are these some of the qualities you possess?
If you do, then the 2013 Advanced School of Beauty Therapy Newcastle Showgirl competition might be an exciting opportunity for you.
The annual event is held to find a young woman to become a positive role model and ambassador for Newcastle and regional NSW.
The contestants will be judged on their passion for the local community, a willingness to develop new skills, their life goals, developing new friendships and, of course, to have fun and enjoy the journey.
Showgirl organisers, Paris Model Management director Cheryl Lee Player and agency principal Amba Player said they were excited about the upcoming event.
"Becoming Newcastle Showgirl opens up a number of exciting opportunities for young women," Ms Player said.
"Not only can the showgirl meet new people and see new places, we will offer professional support and guidance in the areas of fashion, speech and personal development.
"It is a journey of self discovery and a chance to learn skills that will last a lifetime."
