THE 2012-2013 Hunter Academy of Sport basketball and netball talent development squads started their programs in the latter part of 2012 and will resume their activities in the coming weeks.
Members of the basketball boys squad include Jonah Armstrong (Newcastle), Alexander Clinton (Newcastle), Thomas Cole (Newcastle), Ethan Dawber (Newcastle), Ryan Edwards (Newcastle), Nicholas McKay (Newcastle), Lewis Mason (Newcastle), Luke Minter (Newcastle) and James Wilson (Newcastle).
Members of the basketball girls squad include Mikaela Bell (Newcastle), Lily Blyth (Newcastle), Courtney Burling (Newcastle), Melanie Edwards (Newcastle), Shanae Harrold (Newcastle), Kayla Lawson (Newcastle), Lucinda Orsmby (Newcastle), Georgia Parkes (Newcastle), and Jacinta Pinkerton (Newcastle).
Members of the netball squad include Viana Bianivalu (Newcastle), Alex Brown (Lakeside), Emma Gifford (Lakeside), Kaitlin Harcus (Lakeside), Kadisha Haynes (Lakeside), Laura McLeod (Newcastle), Mikenzie McManus (Newcastle), Ellie McVey (Newcastle), Dominique Murphy (Newcastle), Kyara Nean (Newcastle), Akanete Ngatuvai (Newcastle), Natasha Robards (Newcastle), Veronica Smith (Newcastle), Leilani Soli (Lakeside), Katelyn Stansfield (Newcastle), Madeline Taylor (Charlestown), Kimberley Williams (Newcastle), and Sharece Willis (Newcastle).
The 2012-2013 Hunter Academy of Sport softball talent development squad will resume its program of activities with a training session at the Stevenson Park Complex at Mayfield West yesterday afternoon.
New squad head coach Bree Brooker and program manager Chris Halpin have spared no effort in preparing their comprehensive squad program.
Bree will be assisted by coaches Bruce Engert, Ryan Tranter, Rob Powell, Dean Engert, Leigh Halpin and Blake Dickinson.
Those selected in this squad are: Madeline Foster, Brodie Gordon, Jade Hermaridis, Samantha Ryan, Abbie Vernon-Smith, Paige Vernon-Smith, Gabrielle Walker, Nicholas Anderson-Vine, Daniel Cadogan, Nathan Corrigan, Kyle Duncan, Wade Faulkner, Travis Holgate and Timothy Nisbet.
