NOBBYS open men surf rowers will take on the fittest and fastest from across Australia when they compete in the upcoming 2012-13 Australian Surf Rowers League Series.
The surf rowers will line up on the shores of Wollongong for the first leg to be held on Sunday, January 27.
Thirty crews from both men's and women's divisions will race 800 metres out and back through the surf back to North Beach.
The crews to represent Australia in the second leg will be selected via four rounds of point-scoring racing, the winners travelling to New Zealand for the second round.
