CARDIFF-BASED bakery Bill's Organic Breads will take a slice of the Australia Day action in Speers Point Park, helping kick off celebrations in the early morning.
Hunter farmers and producers will set up their food and wine stalls for the annual Lake Macquarie Festival from 8am, with a big-screen movie, canoe race, music concert and fireworks to follow.
It is the first time the farmers' market will make an appearance at the all-day festival, after becoming a permanent fortnightly fixture on the NSW Farmers Market calendar late last year.
Bill's Organic Breads will set up its stall from 8am, selling organic stoneground sourdough and fruit loaves.
The bakery has been producing certified organic stoneground sourdough bread commercially since 2002.
The Lake Macquarie Festival Australia Day markets will also include boutique wineries from the Hunter Valley, gourmet food stalls and artisan markets.
