Hear a fine romance

LOVE is in the air at Charlestown Library this Valentine's Day, Thursday, February 14 from 6pm.

Get comfy in the cosy confines of the library and listen to author and scriptwriter Graeme Simsion speak about his new romantic comedy The Rosie Project.

Ideal for lovers of romance on this special day, The Rosie Project is the heart-warming tale of Don Tillman, who has designed a scientific way to find his perfect partner.

The screenplay turned novel won the 2012 Victorian Premier's Literary Award for an unpublished manuscript.

Lake Macquarie City Council's acting library section manager Anjana Barnett said the event would please any romantics at heart.

"This event is a fantastic opportunity for local fans of romantic comedies to meet a highly regarded author in an informal and relaxed atmosphere," Ms Barnett said.

Simsion will visit Charlestown Library as part of Get Reading!, which aims to encourage more Australians to read.

The year-round author touring program is Australia's largest celebration of books and reading.
