NEWCASTLE Grammar School's rowing success has continued with the team bringing home three gold, two silver and one bronze medal from the NSW Rowing Championships.
The championships, held at the Sydney International Regatta Centre, consisted of crews from NSW, Queensland and Victoria along with some international competition.
The event was dubbed the 'nationals preview' due to the high calibre of racing on display.
Newcastle Grammar School placed fifth overall and was the highest placed school.
The schoolgirl four team of Tia-Rose Mills (Oakhampton Heights), Maddi Gentizon (New Lambton), Chloe Hutchinson (Booral), Caitlin Davis (Lorn) and coxed by Ben Boyle (Merewether) won gold, as did the 16 boys double of Bronson Elsley (Warners Bay) and Nick Filmer (Belmont).
The 16 boys quad crew, featuring Xavier Logan (Merewether), Harry Thomas (Merewether), Bronson Elsley (Warners Bay) and Nick Filmer (Belmont) and coxed by Gabby Angus (Newcastle), also won gold.
Nick Filmer (Belmont) won silver in the 16 boys single while schoolgirl double team Chloe Hutchinson (Booral) and Caitlin Davis (Lorn) also took silver.
Xavier Logan and Harry Thomas (both Merewether) took bronze in the 16 boys double.
