Instead, the Fernleigh Track now rivals the region’s busiest roads at peak hour, with almost daily reports of near-misses and conflicts between angry pedestrians and cyclists.
Regular users have called for the 15-kilometre track, which follows the route of the old Adamstown-to-Belmont train line, to be widened to allow for dedicated paths for both pedestrians and cyclists.
