THE Hunter Academy of Sport has been conducting a Girl’s Cricket Talent Development Program since 1999, and is keen to continue such a program in the future.
This year’s program is again for girls in the age group of 10 to 12 year olds, or those in years 5, 6 and 7 at school.
It will be reasonably basic and designed to encourage and develop the skills of the girls in this age group who are interested in playing cricket.
Following the selection trial in April, a squad of 14 girls will be selected.
Nomination forms will be available in the near future from the Hunter Academy of Sport office and should be completed and returned to the office by Friday, April 5.
Any questions about the nominations or the program, should be referred to the program co-ordinator Fiona MacKenzie, phone 0478 654 311 or the academy office on 4926 4892.
