EASTER weekend will not be just about the chocolates this year, with the Bodhi Festival set to hit town for the second year running.
Last month, the launch for the transformational spiritual festival announced a stellar line-up of international performers, spiritual leaders, meditation masters, contemporary Kirtan musicians and speakers who will host workshops, healings and forums - and showcase an array of exotic food.
The Bodhi Festival aims to create a weekend full of spiritual support and peace for participants as well as providing an opportunity to enter one's own higher consciousness.
This month's festival follows on from the inaugural event held last year, in which more than 6000 people packed out the former David Jones building in Hunter Street.
The founder of this spiritual event, John Scott, said he expected an even bigger turnout this year.
■ Bodhi Festival will be held from March 30 to April 1 at the Newcastle City Town Hall. Go to bodhifestival.com.au for more information or to buy tickets.
