NEWCASTLE City are through to the grand final while Terrigal Avoca and Cardiff will meet in next week's preliminary final, after last weekend's Black Diamond Cup semi-finals.
On Saturday, Newcastle City and Terrigal Avoca continued their enthralling rivalry with the Blues coming out on top, 15.14.104 to 10.12.72.
The game was a tight contest throughout with Newcastle City holding the lead for most of the game, and with Terrigal Avoca drawing to within three points early in the last quarter, it was anyone's game.
At this point, however, the Blues big men took control of the match through Jacob Dawes in the ruck and Cameron Keast up forward and with this dominance Newcastle City kicked three quick goals to open up a match-winning lead, before running out 32-point winners, much to the delight of their supporters.
Andrew Wilmott, Josh Wheeler, Luke Rawnsley and Keast were the best for the Blues with Courtney Knight finishing the match with five goals.
For Terrigal Avoca, Mitch Betson was their best, also finishing the game with four goals.
Sam O'Brien, James Webster and Damen Smith also had strong games.
At Bateau Bay on Sunday, Cardiff continued their remarkable BDAFL record with a strong 17.7.109 to 10.8.68 win over Killarney Vale.
