FLOOD warnings were on the table at Lake Macquarie council when it met on Monday night.
Angry local residents gathered to call for the removal of flood warnings in the area they said threatened the value of 10,000 properties.
The notations on the property certificates of these homes warn they could be inundated due to rising sea levels.
Residents argued it devalued the properties and the notations must be dropped.
The matter was being discussed as The Star went to print.
