Having only started competitive sports 12 months ago, the 13-year-old St Phillip's Christian College student is now on top of his game.
Lorcan recently competed in the National All Schools Cross Country Championship.
He glided through school, zone, state and national levels with ease and finished No.1.
Lorcan said he was overwhelmed by his achievement.
"It was the most amazing feeling ever," he said.
"I phoned my coach straight away."
Starting out as a runner and occasional swimmer, it was Trinova Multisports coach Rod Cook who put Lorcan on his first bike and completed the trio.
Coach Cook said Lorcan's friends called him "the freak" because he had achieved so much in a short period of time.
"The hardest thing about training Lorcan is holding him back," he said.
Coach Cook believes Lorcan has the ability to be a top athlete in swimming, running and cycling well as being a top triathlete.
The Waratah teenager trains seven days a week all over Newcastle.
He will compete in the All Schools National Triathlon next week, where he hopes to continue his success.
