PLANNING to improve traffic flow along Cary Street in Toronto has already kicked off.
This year, the state government provided $1 million to start preliminary work on the project.
This includes the upgrade of a section of the road, the redesign of intersection options and relocating the public amenities on the western side of Cary Street.
It also aims to increase the road's safety, with a history of 27 crashes in five years.
The Roads and Maritime Service said it would undertake community consultation later this year.
