THE Newcastle Jets are nursing their egos after a scoreless draw with Perth Glory on Sunday at Hunter Stadium.
They are the only team on the A-League ladder yet to score a goal, after they lost the season opener two weeks ago to Sydney FC 2-0.
Both Perth and Newcastle defended strongly on the weekend, which created a deadlock match that proved to be a fizzer.
Newcastle was left without star player Emile Heskey, who was injured after the first game and is not expected to return for another two weeks.
Coach Garry Van Edmond was frustrated by the Jets' loss to Perth.
He said his players needed to concentrate on achieving results.
