Shark sighted at Street's Surf Boat series at Blacksmiths Beach

THE Street's Surf Boat series rolled into Blacksmiths Beach over the weekend and there was plenty of action on the water - and it was not just the rowing.

In the open women's MacMasters finished in first ahead of Nobbys and Caves Beach.

Ocean Beach and Tea Gardens/Hawks Nest were tied for line honours in the reserves, with Redhead rounding out the podium.

In the under-23 men's it was the aptly named Newcastle "sharks" who took the win over Terrigal in second, and Cooks Hill and Caves tied for third.

Ocean Beach won the under-23 women's, Stockton were second and Terrigal and Redhead tied for third.

Avoca won the masters women's while Dixon Park won the men's.
