The theme was Nature Remembered and local artists were invited to enter artworks from mediums that represented thought-provoking imaginative interpretations on the theme.
Winners were Leslie Duffin, of Tingira Heights, for her ceramic piece The Faceless Men, and Jane Robinson, of Redhead, for a fibre-artwork entitled Synergy.
They took home $2500 each.
Duffin said she was blown away by the artworks and believed the judges had a tough job.
"My work was really about the controversy of the Laman Street figs and the faceless men represent the council people behind it all," she said.
Robinson's piece had a community feel.
The Emerging Artist prize was awarded to Valentine resident Jessica Kellar for Rodriguez, a charcoal and pastel piece on paper.
All three artworks were sold on the opening night, January 24.
The fourth prize - the People's Choice award - will give the exhibition's visitors a chance to vote.
The winner will be announced on closing night, this Sunday, February 9.
■ Nature Remembered runs until Sunday at Back to Back Galleries, 57 Bull Street, Cooks Hill.
