Mount Hutton residents urge Lake Macquarie council to cut back on a multi-million dollar development

A GROUP of Mount Hutton residents is calling on Lake Macquarie council to pledge its support to help scale back a $3.3 million development application.

SNL Building Constructions is seeking to build 19 two and three-storey houses in Cowmeadow Road.

Residents are concerned about storm-water run-off, traffic, privacy and environmental impacts.

The submission period ends on March 4, after the residents were granted an extension by the council.

Residents are pushing for the development to be debated on its merits by the elected council in a public forum.
