Newcastle lord mayor Jeff McCloy snuffs debate on redirecting CBD light rail funds

NEWCASTLE lord mayor Jeff McCloy snuffed out a scheduled debate to request state government funds be moved away from the $340 million CBD light rail project to other projects, including the art gallery ($21 million), City Hall ($25 million), Adamstown railways gates ($25 million), bus stops ($10 million), and a parking station at Honeysuckle ($30 million).
