The miniature beanies will be sold for $5 through non-profit and government agencies throughout the week, which runs from Monday, June 2, until Sunday, June 8.
If they sell out, the group will make $5000, which will go towards Hunter Homeless Connect Day in August.
The day provides a number of much-needed services to local people doing it tough, including legal and financial help, finding crisis accommodation, providing immunisations, and pampering people with haircuts and warm clothing.
The Minmi Crochet/Craft Group have also made a range of crochet and knitted goods that will be handed out to the homeless on the Hunter Homeless Connect Day.
To date, the group has made 52 knee rugs, 56 scarves, 12 teddies and a number of baby jackets, baby blankets, children's rugs and jumpers.
Minmi Crochet/Craft Group member Dianne Holden said the group was on the lookout for wool donations to make more clothes and blankets in the coming weeks.
"We desperately need more wool. We'll use it all, we don't waste anything," she said.
