These school holidays, children will explore this scenario in Tantrum Youth Arts' four-day drama program.
Tantrum Youth Arts develops inclusive arts programs for young people, in which they can learn about a variety of drama techniques in a supportive and stimulating environment.
Reptilia: An Adventure in Cold Blood will give children the tools to write, produce and star in a stage show set in an alternative world run by cold-blooded critters.
During the program, to be held at the Hunter Wetlands Centre, children will observe wildlife, create characters and write their own parts with help from Tantrum mentors.
Participants will be coached in stage techniques and costumes will be created from recycled materials and imaginations.
The young actors will apply their newly learnt skills in a production of Reptilia for their friends and family to watch.
