A BELMONT resident has single-handedly triggered a call to action for the federal government to fix the inconsistent television reception in his area.

For five years, interference with the reception at Green Point Reserve estate has stopped retirees Ian and Gae Macrae from enjoying sports channels and the occasional soapie.
Mr Macrae said their reception, which came from the transmitter in Belmont North, was affected by humidity.
"You can almost guarantee it will happen on hot nights," Mr Macrae said.
An assessment carried out by transmission service RBA Holdings identified there was a problem.
The issue has prompted Mr Macrae to team up with Shortland MP Jill Hall to lobby for a black spot transmitter.
In a private meeting, Ms Hall urged Mr Macrae to rally other Belmont residents.
After a letterbox drop to about 350 houses in the estate, about 100 residents have contacted Ms Hall's office.
