The 20-year-old Mayfield resident has been a regular pageant contestant for the past two years while juggling work and university commitments.
This weekend she will compete in Miss Ink Newcastle for the first time in a bid to add to the three pageant crowns she's already won.
Miss Meikle's first ink was on the day of her 18th birthday; her leg and back are now covered in a mix of Disney cartoons and evil beasts, designed by Miss Eddy-Lou from STR Body Modifications in Wyong.
Miss Meikle said her family had been "pretty supportive" of her body art, despite initial concerns.
Entrants in the Miss Ink competition will be judged in three pageantry rounds - casual wear, formal wear and swimwear.
Judges from the tattoo, fashion and modelling industries will score the women on their tattoos, rapport with the audience and personality.
The winner and runner-up from the Newcastle heat go to the national final in Melbourne.
■ Miss Ink is on this Friday, May 9, at The Cambridge Hotel, Newcastle from 8pm.
