The 20-year-old striker took home the A-League Golden Boot and Young Player of the Year award at a gala ceremony last week.
Taggart scored 16 goals for the Jets this season, four shy of the next best in the league.
He also managed a phenomenal hat-trick against the Melbourne Heart.
With a year remaining on his Jets contract, Taggart is now vying for a place in the Socceroos preliminary squad for the World Cup.
Although the Jets' season has finished, Taggart will continue training to bolster his chances of selection in the 30-man Socceroos squad on May 14.
Also on Taggart's radar is a move to Europe, where he hopes to play first-team football.
