Terrigal hold firm in Wilson Security Black Diamond AFL Cup

NEWCASTLE City, Cardiff and Terrigal Avoca recorded wins in round seven of the Wilson Security Black Diamond Cup competition.

In the match of the round, Newcastle City overcame a half-time deficit to defeat Killarney Vale, 16.8 (104) to 13.9 (87).

At Dick Burwell Oval, Cardiff consolidated their position in the top four with a hard-fought win over Nelson Bay, 14.21 (105) to 12.13 (85).

In the final game Terrigal Avoca stayed on top of the competition ladder after a comfortable 23.18 (156) to 4.1 (25) win over Singleton at Rose Point Park.

Warners Bay had the bye.

In first division, the winners were Maitland, Terrigal Avoca , Wyong Lakes and Newcastle City.
