Unbeaten Terrigal Avoca Panthers concede only one point in Black Diamond AFL Cup round 12

CAN anyone beat Terrigal Avoca? That is the question being asked after round 12 of the Black Diamond Cup when Terrigal Avoca pounded third-placed Killarney Vale.

There was plenty of anticipation ahead of Killarney Vale's visit to Hylton Moore Oval with the Bombers confident of ending the Panthers' unbeaten start to the season.

However, it was the Panthers who stamped their authority over their Central Coast rivals, winning by 80 points and restricting the Bombers to a solitary point for the match. The final score was 11.15 (81) to 0.1 (1).

At No 1 Sportsground, an early Courtney Knight onslaught set Newcastle City on the way to a 17.11 (113) to 9.8 (62) win against Cardiff.

Newcastle City remain in second position while Cardiff is in fourth with a tough draw still ahead of them.

In battle of the cellar dwellers, Warners Bay withstood a Singleton comeback to record a 9.11 (65) to 6.7 (43) victory at Rose Point Park.

Nelson Bay had the bye.
