Belmont District Hospital Auxiliary's 65 volunteers reached a milestone this month.
In the last financial year, they bought more than $100,000 worth of equipment for the hospital, topping its record-breaking $88,000 of 2012-13.
They have donated $698,457.60 during the past decade.
The auxiliary raises the money by selling sandwiches, coffees and hand-knitted clothing through its hospital kiosk, as well as annual raffles and cake stalls.
When the auxiliary pools enough money it buys equipment.
Throughout the last financial year it raised $103,730.55, which bought 15 pieces of equipment.
Among them, a HoverJack and mat, valued at $9568, that allows hospital staff to safely lift a patient who has collapsed in a confined space and transfer them to a bed to be assessed.
The HoverJack has four air mattress-like levels that are manually inflated from the floor up in less than 60 seconds.
It can be used anywhere in the hospital, from bathrooms to corridors to operating theatres.
The hospital trialled a HoverJack last year and found it useful in many situations.
Auxiliary volunteers Pat Buttsworth, Dot Butler and June Chapman saw the new one in action last week.
Mrs Butler said it was fantastic to see their donations at work.
"We were so excited to give them the $100,000; we were like little kids at Christmas," Mrs Butler said.
"Giving back to the hospital feels great. Everyone needs a hospital at one stage in their life.
"One day it could be us."
Belmont Hospital volunteer co-ordinator Jane Broadbent said the hospital was grateful for the donations.
"This is the most they've ever raised, which is fantastic," she said.
"The new equipment helps the staff do their job and do it well."
