The education group is a partnership between Swansea High School and six primary schools from Pelican to Nords Wharf.
More than 100 budding scientists contributed to the diverse range of exhibits at the science fair, hosted by the high school last Thursday.
Students cracked conundrums such as which flavour chewing gum lasts longer, how to prevent bananas from turning brown and what effect wine has on your teeth.
The science fair was part of the education group's Science Enrichment Program.
Primary students were mentored by their year 10 counterparts, who helped them fine tune their scientific methods and test their hypotheses.
