That is the message alternative health gurus Tracy Lofberg and Deb Andrew hope to spread around Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.
The Belmont duo will this weekend launch a unique community market focused on holistic health and wellbeing.
Held at Dudley Public School, the Healing Haven markets will feature fair trade clothing, farm fresh produce, natural skincare and organic food stalls.
There will also be free mini health consultations, children's workshops by donation, and author Jo Messenger will speak on her book, Be in One Peace, a guide to releasing stress.
By bringing these things together, Mrs Lofberg and Mrs Andrew hope to help others change for the better, just like they did.
The long-time friends turned to alternative remedies when they fell ill around the same time three years ago.
Mrs Andrew said it was a turning point.
"We just realised the impact of what we were putting in our bodies and had to make a lifestyle change," Mrs Andrew said.
"That included everything from changing our diets to the way we thought."
The pair hope to use their experiences to spread the word about holistic health.
Having formed a partnership with Dudley Public School to hold the markets there on the third Saturday of every month, they are on their way to achieving their goal.
■ The Healing Haven markets will launch this Saturday, September 20, at Dudley Public School from 9am to 2pm. For more information or to inquire about holding a stall, email Tracy Lofberg at healinghavenmarkets@gmail.com.
