The conservatorium will open its doors on Saturday, September 20, with demonstrations in piano, percussion, brass, strings, guitar, voice, music production and more.
The event will be a family affair, with special demonstrations for children also on offer.
The open day kicks off at 9am with workshops running simultaneously throughout the conservatorium.
Noted musical director and pianist Ray Alldridge will be there to hold a vocal and piano masterclass in the concert hall from 10am until midday.
There will be a variety show held in the concert hall to end the day's events, which will be live streamed on the conservatorium's website.
A lucky door prize that consists of four free music lessons on your instrument of choice will be awarded to four people on the day.
Conservatorium co-ordinator John Kelloway said it held an open day every year as a way of showing the community what it place had to offer.
"The conservatorium is not just for uni students, it's a place where the community can get involved and follow their dreams."
The conservatorium is used to run the university's music degrees and is also open to public.
