The categories for the 2015 Lake Macquarie Australia Day awards are Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Community Group of the Year and Community Event of the Year.
The winners are announced and nominees recognised at a special Australia Day Awards ceremony in January.
It feels great to nominate someone for their inspirational work, so I encourage you all to think about someone you know - a friend, neighbour, relative - who deserves recognition.
Nomination forms are available at lakemac.com.au/ausawards or by calling 4921 0333.
Nominations close on October 27.
