The Regals snared their third hat-trick of major trophies when they nosed out South 2-1 on Saturday at the Newcastle International Hockey Centre.
"Our players enjoy grand final day, especially if participating in them and winning over South in the Premier Women's League decider, despite having a zillion chances today," Gordon said.
Goals by Sophie Robinson and Mel Greer gave the defending minor premiers a 2-0 advantage at the break.
Regals' victory was the club's ninth since 2002, appearing in a lucky 13th consecutive decider.
South on the other hand, in only their second grand final appearance since a 3-1 loss to Regals in 2012, will be a side to challenge Regals again in coming seasons, according to coach Scott New.
He said after the late goal his side was coming back strongly. "I believe that we were coming back and a late goal by Ellen Webb reduced the deficit to one," New said.
"If another five minutes were left on the clock maybe the scoreline would be different."
Kiahni Abell gained some consolation for the loss, named player of the grand final and awarded the Kim Mellick trophy.
