Redhead's Daniel Collins and Stewart McLachlan kept their motivation from last season rolling through the winter, with both set to bring home gold medals.
Collins' campaign started early, after being selected to represent the Australian Youth Team in the International Challenge. He took out the youth swim race.
In the Inter Clubs competition, he won the swim race, but this time he added the Oceanman crown to his tally, before taking third place in the board race.
McLachlan found the top of the podium, taking out the 12-kilometre endurance board race.
