The 37th annual Art and Craft Exhibition and Sale will be held at Anglican Care Booragul over three days this weekend.
There will be an art display in Timbury Hall featuring more than 100 exhibitors, mostly from the public.
Artists commission their pieces, from which 25 per cent of the sales go towards the auxiliary.
Morning and afternoon tea will also be available.
The event typically raises about $5000 and adds to the funds collected by the auxiliary at its monthly luncheons.
Last year the auxiliary's 40 volunteers raised $30,000 to support aged care facilities at Merewether, Jesmond, Mount Hutton, Booragul, Toronto, Carey Bay and Warnervale.
Publicity officer Lynette Bignall said the auxiliary used the money to buy extra "trimmings" for residents.
"We just give them the little extras that don't come included in the budget," Mrs Bignall said.
"Things like TVs and garden chairs; the things that make life more comfortable."
