Former Whitebridge High School student Jack Antcliff and TAFE students Jordan Watson and Josiah Prigg were hand-picked to form the Games' screen presentations team.
The trio has worked with Lake Macquarie councillor Barney Langford to produce three short films to present at the Games opening ceremony on December 6 at Speers Point Park.
They have visited four high schools, including West Wallsend, Whitebridge, Morriset and Swansea; the Lake Macquarie Youth Advisory Council and the Windale Men's Shed to ask people what inspires them.
The question aligns with the theme of the Games: inspire, embrace, unite.
Jack Antcliff, who is also completing his Higher School Certificate at Whitebridge High, said the team had done its best to cover all areas of the lake.
"We've been travelling to some pretty remote areas to hit all four corners of the lake," he said. "There are some great stories out there and people have been coming up with some pretty great answers [to the question].
"I can't wait for people to see the videos."
