Belmont Neighbourhood Centre has joined the crew at its Habitat in Harmony Community Garden to share the secrets of worm farming.
Tomorrow, Thursday, October 23, you can learn all about worms and how they can be a wise investment for your green spaces.
Participants will be shown how to build their own worm farm.
Habitat in Harmony garden co-ordinator Chris Brown said the workshop would cover everything from the care of worms, to harvesting the worm droppings.
"The liquid that comes out of the farms is a good fertiliser and is full of phosphorus, potassium and nitrogen."
Mr Brown said the workshop would also cover the lifecycle of the worm and how to use the liquid they produce in your garden.
■ The Worm Farm Workshop costs $5 and includes morning tea.
To book, phone Belmont Neighbourhood Centre on 4947 0031. The workshop is at Belmont Neighbourhood Centre from 10am to 12.30pm.
