With Rescue 2014 - the World Titles in France, and the Goldie Classic ironman race now behind us, focus shifts towards a number of key events on the horizon.
For many of the area's senior athletes, that event will be the Coolangatta Gold on the first of November. For the junior competitors, the Lake Macquarie Games and Kracka Ironperson race one week later will come as the first major event of the season.
Also rapidly approaching is the 2014 NSW Interbranch Championships.
The Hunter will be looking to break its infamous record of fourth place finishes by finally climbing onto the podium.
