Among them are three first-time recipients: Merewether cyclist Nicola McDonald, 16; Cameron Park footballer and rugby sevens player Hannah Southwell, 15; and Ashtonfield hockey player Patrick Magann, 16.
Triathlete and Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Aaron Royle was awarded his sixth successive scholarship and ice-skater Kailani Crane received her third.
Paralympic and Commonwealth Games gold medallist and world record holder Maddison Elliott; water polo player Gordon Marshall; and heptathlete Sophie Stanwell have received a scholarship for the second year in a row.
Nathan Power (water polo) and Ty Swadling (trampolining) received a scholarship in previous years and have again been awarded one.
The 10 athletes received a $2000 LifeSaver account from The Greater.
They will also receive ongoing advice and support from the Hunter Academy of Sport.
The scholarships will help the athletes achieve dreams of representing Australia at the 2016 Olympics and Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea.
