Athletes from the 2014 International Children’s Games’ team will parade around Hunter Stadium during the pre-match entertainment.
International Children’s Games song competition winner Mia Sifflet will take to the stage to perform her song Never Give Up, which will also echo through Speers Point Park at the Games opening ceremony on December 6.
Event director Jodi Tweed said Friday’s outing was ‘‘an exciting opportunity for the athletes of Team Lake Macquarie to be well supported’’.
Newcastle Jets skipper Kew Jaliens also threw his support behind the Games, saying it was a chance for athletes to forge international friendships.
