Jets coach Phil Stubbins' decision to criticise Brisbane's form in his mid-week press conferences back-fired, as the Roar showed their class to easily account for a poor Newcastle side.
Both sides came into the match in search of their first win of the season, but only one team looked likely to take home the points in a one-sided affair.
The Roar looked dangerous from the outset, with winger Jean Carlos Solorzano linking up well with chief playmaker Thomas Broich.
However, it took until the second-half for Brisbane to take the lead through substitute Henrique.
The Brazilian finished a flowing Brisbane move in the 48th from Shane Stefanutto's pin-point cross.
Steve Lustica added a classy second in the 61st minute before Henrique completed a hat-trick with a well-taken goal in the 72nd and 89th minute respectively.
Coach Stubbins lamented his side's lack of cohesion, with Newcastle producing just three shots on goal throughout the match.
"I was certainly embarrassed by the way that we took to the play," he said.
"We were poor from start to finish."
