The youngest member of the Eleebana bunch, 16-year-old Nathan, has only recently discovered the power of his voice.
Earlier this year Nathan successfully auditioned to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2014 Lake Macquarie International Children's Games in December.
Until then, the year 11 Warners Bay High School student had not given much thought to a career in music. But it was his family that inspired him to give it a shot.
Nathan's four older sisters and their partners play in an eight-piece folk band called The Soorleys. With their encouragement, he took the plunge.
Since he secured the opening ceremony slot, Nathan has been preparing for the big event by performing at his youth group, Globe Youth Eastlakes.
He is now determined to pursue a musical career.
"A career in music would be my dream," he said.
As well as The Soorleys, Nathan draws inspiration from the likes of John Mayer and Angus and Julia Stone.
"I listen to every sort of music but I'm really homing in on my folk tunes," he said.
Nathan is also a self-taught guitarist and occasionally dabbles in drums.
His guitar will accompany him at the International Children's Games opening ceremony on December 7.
He will take centrestage with Tyler Chapman to belt out Men At Work's Land Down Under.
