On Thursday Attorney General of New South Wales Brad Hazzard was in town spruiking the project, which includes supreme, district and local courts.
The courthouse will also include two tribunal rooms fitted with video conferencing equipment and holding cells.
So far the project has employed about 750 people.
Another 500 are expected on site in the coming months.
Speaking to the media, Mr Hazzard was quick to dismiss claims the new facility was not easily accessible, despite having only 25 parking spaces available.
The NSW government also plans to cut heavy rail into the city on Boxing Day.
‘‘This court will have plenty of public transport access,’’ he said.
Mr Hazzard said the future of the old courthouse was still undecided.
