I think I'll start with beach fishing this week and there's no better starting point than Stockton Beach.
Regular anglers who fish the beach two or three times a week have been consistently getting nice bags of whiting.
Fishing the change of tide and using live worms for bait has produced the best results.
While fishing for whiting it would be a good idea to have a pilchard out for a tailor.
There has been some choppers getting about around dawn and dusk, however, there has been some much bigger models caught at night.
Fishing the inshore reefs has all been related to the water temperature.
If the water's warm the fish have been firing, however, if the water goes cold then it's a different ball game altogether.
