Screen Hunter has teamed up with Circus Avalon and the Newcastle Community Youth Development project so youth can enjoy a mix of creative arts.
From 3pm Circus Avalon will hold free shows and workshops in conjunction with World Circus Day.
Circus Avalon's John Campbell said the troupe would perform on the silks, the trapeze and aerial rings in the air.
They will also perform juggling and Diablo tricks on the ground.
Mr Campbell said free workshops would also be on offer, where anyone can try their hand at juggling, a unicycle or balancing.
Afterwards, young people are encouraged to bring a blanket, grab some tasty treats from the food vans and claim a space on the turf from 5.30pm.
Screen Hunter will show a selection of films made by young people or made for young people.
