This week’s east coast lows were no different.
However, for the first time in 48 years water entered the home.
Jason Jackson has lived his whole life there. The property opposite Swansea on Swansea Channel was originally owned by his grandparents.
On Tuesday, Mr Jackson's’s front room went under water due to the combination of heavy rain, high tides and run-off.
He said other flooding around the house - like the road in and out of the six-property community and his shed - was similar to the water levels of the 2007 Pasher Bulker storms and king tides.
‘‘If we had king tides like at Easter now, we would be in big trouble,’’ he said.
On Wednesday, Mr Jackson delayed his clean up due to the expected run-off and more high tides.
His immediate concern was to replace his toilet that blew away Tuesday night.
He was also without power and phone.
However, his water supply was more than okay as the tanks were over flowing.
Mr Jackson said a couple of his neighbours were in a worst situation with a lot more flooding in their homes.
