Killarney Vale returned to Bateau Bay Sporting Facility, scene of their memorable 2014 preliminary final over Newcastle City, and beat the Blues 7.10.52 to 5.6.36.
At Feighan Oval Warners Bay, visiting Terrigal Avoca won 6.4.40 to 1.2.8 while at Dick Burwell Oval, Nelson Bay won 11.7.73 to 8.8.56 over Cardiff.
In first division, wins were recorded by Wyong Lakes over Singleton and Terrigal Avoca over Warners Bay. Killarney Vale vs Newcastle City was cancelled.
Second division wins went to The Entrance Bateau Bay, Terrigal Avoca, Newcastle City, Wyong Lakes and Lake Macquarie. Maitland vs Nelson Bay was postponed.
In the GE Women’s competition, Nelson Bay created history by becoming the club’s first women’s team to record a victory when they defeated Wyong Lakes 5.2.32 to 1.1.7 at Dick Burwell Oval.
