The first quarter began evenly contested, with each team trading goal for goal.
Souths produced some successful turnovers in their defensive end, which continued in the second quarter.
These opportunities greatly rewarded Souths’ attacking half, with the combination of open court space and accurate ball placement allowing effective feeding into the circle to show off their shooter’s skills.
Although the half-time score had them down at 13-29, Bilbie Dan continued to communicate encouragement to one another, and commendably improved their defensive movement within the circle.
But as the rain settled in, Souths continued to advance their lead and create more turnovers by their mid-court throughout the third and final quarter.
The heavy rain had a slight effect on the speed of play, but both teams maintained spacious court movement and ball control.
Due to their consistent efforts, the final score saw South’s feat at 52 against Bilbie Dan’s 26.
In other games, Forsythes Business Advisors defeated a resolute BNC 1, 73-19, and Junction Hotel Stella missed out against the Maryville Tavern, 34-43.
Continuing their undefeated winning streaks, South Leagues Netball Club and Forsythes Business Advisors maintain the top two spots on 18 points, and the Maryville Tavern third on 16 points.
The next matches will be played on May 23 on courts 8 and 9 in National Park at 2.30pm and 3.45pm.
