This year the festival staged by Swansea Chamber will be on the foreshore next to Swansea RSL Club.
Swansea Chamber president Tony Rich said it was an opportunity for locals to have a food and wine festival at the gateway to Lake Macquarie instead of travelling to Newcastle or the Hunter Valley.
"SwanFest is set to be even bigger than last year with a greater variety of food and wine, a vast selection of exhibitors with their many wares as well as great local entertainment," he said.
A first for SwanFest will be a flash mob performance by TMP Dance Studios.
Up to 40 students from seven-years-old to teens will materialise out of the crowd and start dancing before lunch time.
TMP Dance Studios director Tina Moore said a flash mob was about fun - the crowd was caught by surprise and the dancers could let their hair down compared to formal stage performances.
"It is a good opportunity for the community to see young performers and for the dancers to share their talents with the community," she said.
Other entertainment includes Wobbly Boot Jazz and Blues Band, Venus, Tiny Tutus and Muller Kids Rides.
Another attraction will be the emergency services displays by marine rescue, police and fire services.
With the outside venue, organisers are also encouraging people to bring a picnic, their pets on a lead and make a day of it.
