The council is now actively working with The Business Centre Newcastle Region on an innovative business advisory and collaboration series tailored for small business operators in the Newcastle local government area.
'Newcastle - Open for Business' will assist, facilitate and educate small business owners to think innovatively, seek new revenue generating opportunities and work collaboratively to give Newcastle's night economy a boost.
The program is focused on three types of assistance: small group workshops, one-on-one business advisory and collaboration.
The Business Centre will run six small workshops from June to November with support from council's Economic Development Sponsorship Program.
After attending a workshop, businesses receive up to two hours of one-on-one time with an experienced, qualified business advisor (no cost) to assist with implementing new ideas.
In addition to the workshops and face-to-face advisory services, The Business Centre will be facilitate collaboration between workshop participants, key partners and stakeholders.
If you own a small business, this is a great opportunity for you to receive valuable, hands-on assistance and education directly related to the needs of your business.
